What it does
A price checker for your shop floor: scan an item, see its price.
What it does
- Shows the item's name, picture and price for the store you choose.
- The price is your store's price list price for one unit, in the scanned unit.
- Promotions are worked out at the till; the kiosk says so under every price.
How to set it up
- Make the app's user: tick Is Desk User, give it the role IVENDNEXT PRC Integration alone (the install makes it) and save. Then generate its API key (on the user, Settings, then Generate Keys).
- Open the feed registration IVENDNEXT PRC Kiosk feed, choose that user as its Application User and save. Then, in the App library, open the app's Details and press Connect again: the record says it sent that user's API key.
- Add an IVENDNEXT PRC Kiosk record for each screen: where it stands and the store's till profile. Only a System Manager can, unless you give another role rights on it in Role Permissions.
- On the tablet, open https://price-checker.ivendnext.app/ followed by #shop= and your site's address, then &kiosk= and the Kiosk record's name, in full screen; connect a barcode scanner as a keyboard and scan an item to check.
Good to know
- The kiosk's address works without a sign-in: anyone who has it can check prices at that store. Switch the kiosk off to stop it within a minute.
- The service at price-checker.ivendnext.app asks your shop's pricer for each scan, so the item's details and the store's stock on hand reach it; the kiosk shows only name, unit, picture and price, and nothing is written to your shop.
