What it does
The drawer opens, the receipt prints and the pole display shows the sale.
What it does
- The drawer opens when a sale is paid by a payment method set to open it.
- Receipts print on the counter's own printer, with no browser print window.
- The pole display shows the welcome, sale and thank-you lines you enter on the profile, with its port.
How to set it up
- On the computer the printer and drawer are plugged into, install QZ Tray. In Desk, open QZ Settings, enter the certificate details and save.
- In Desk, add a Hardware Profile for the counter: tick Has Printer and Is Cash Drawer Attached, and add the pole display's port settings if you have one.
- In Desk, open each Mode of Payment that should open the drawer (usually Cash) and tick Open Cash Drawer.
- Open the counter's POS Terminal and choose the Hardware Profile.
Good to know
- For the counter only: a phone or a handheld has no drawer that opens by itself.
- QZ Tray's certificate may need a licence from QZ.
- Try your own drawer, printer and pole display with your partner before you go live.
- Your partner adds it to your site.
- Used by
- Cashier, Shop administrator
