What it does

Your charity or thrift store's donations in Desk: who gave what, and a receipt for the donor that stays as it was given.

What it does

  • IVENDNEXT DON Donation: a customer, or a donor typed at the door, or none; the address, the store and the day; each kind of goods with how many and its condition.
  • Give receipt locks the donor, store, day and goods; Print gives the receipt under your letter head, stating no value. A manager cancels a given receipt.
  • Donations lists every donation not cancelled, newest first; a Material Receipt's Donation field names the donation its goods came from.

How to set it up

  • Switch the lock on: Retail Save Rule, IVENDNEXT DON donation locked once its receipt is given, tick Enabled. It installs switched off.
  • Give the people at the donation door Sales User; a Sales Manager cancels a given receipt. No store role deletes a donation.
  • Put your charity's name, registration number and address on the Letter Head your store prints with; if you give anything back for a donation, say so there.
  • Whoever takes sorted goods into stock with a Material Receipt holds Stock User, which reads donations. No Stock Entry Type Material Receipt on your site? Add one, purpose Material Receipt.

Good to know

  • The app calls nothing outside: no service, no outside address. To e-mail receipts, add your own Notification on Receipt given, attaching the Donor receipt print.
  • The receipt states no value for the goods; a valuation for a tax claim or Gift Aid is a partner's version. The app moves no money and no stock.
  • Donors' details are personal data you keep; Stock User reads them too. Desk shows buttons with the prefix (IVENDNEXT DON Give receipt). Uninstalling removes donations and the Stock Entry field; its export keeps them.
