What it does
A boarding pass on every airport sale and each passenger's duty-free allowance, checked at Pay.
What it does
- The cashier scans the boarding pass into Sale details. No pass, an unreadable one, or a flight from another airport or day is refused with the reason.
- An allowance on each Item Group (such as 4 litres of Spirits), counted with the passenger's earlier sales on the same pass; returns take theirs back.
- Each item counts in its group's measure: 0.75 for a 75 cl bottle, 200 for a carton.
How to set it up
- Make the app's user: tick Is Desk User, give it only the role IVENDNEXT DFA Integration (the install makes it), no User Permissions; generate its API key.
- In Role Permissions Manager, give that role a plain Read (not Only If Creator) on Item Group, Item and POS Invoice.
- Make the record Default of IVENDNEXT DFA Settings (airports, departing or arriving, hours from UTC); an Item Manager sets allowances on Item Groups.
- In Retail Extension Subscription, open Duty-free allowance (installed off): read what it is sent, tick the consent, choose your airport stores' POS Profiles, switch it on.
- On the feed registration IVENDNEXT DFA Allowance, choose that user as Application User; then in the App library open Details, press Connect again.
Good to know
- At every Pay the priced sale with the boarding pass (name, booking, flight, seat) goes to duty-free-allowance.ivendnext.app, hosted by CitiXsys. It reads your settings, groups, items and earlier sales on that pass; it writes nothing.
- No answer in time, or offline: the sale goes on, flagged for review. If your shop refuses the app's user, the sale is refused, saying so.
- The pass field shows in Sale details on every till; only the chosen POS Profiles need it. A phone camera cannot fill it yet.
- Transit, crew and staff are not told apart; tax is unchanged. A flight delayed past midnight is refused after it. Two sales on one pass paid at once miss each other.

Coupon rules
Rules for your own coupons, checked at Pay: a coupon for a customer's first purchase only, or only for customers in one group. The cashier sees why a coupon is refused, removes it and pays. A coupon with no rule passes while the app's setup is right.
