What it does
Rules your coupons cannot hold on their own, checked when the cashier presses Pay.
What it does
- First purchase only: a coupon is refused for a customer who already has a submitted sale (a return against a sale does not count).
- Only for one customer group: a coupon is refused for a customer outside that group.
- The cashier sees why, removes the coupon (or adds the new customer) and pays. A coupon with no rule passes unless your shop refuses the app's user.
How to set it up
- Make the app's user: tick Is Desk User, give it only the role IVENDNEXT CPN Integration (the install makes it), no User Permissions; generate its API key.
- In Role Permissions Manager, give that role Read (not Only If Creator) on POS Invoice and Sales Invoice: the first-purchase rule counts sales.
- In IVENDNEXT CPN Rule, add one record per coupon to restrict: tick First purchase only, and/or choose the customer group.
- In Retail Extension Subscription, open Coupon rules (installed off): read what it is sent, tick the consent, choose its POS Profiles, switch it on.
- On the feed registration IVENDNEXT CPN Rules, choose that user as Application User. Then in the App library open Details and press Connect again.
Good to know
- At every Pay and refund the priced sale (with the cashier's user and the customer) goes to coupon-rules.ivendnext.app, hosted by CitiXsys. It reads your rules, counts sales and writes nothing.
- No answer in 3 s (a Pay after a quiet spell can be slower), or offline: every sale goes on, flagged for review. Before Connect again, a sale with a coupon does too.
- If your shop refuses the app's user, a sale with a coupon is refused in words that say so.
- The count is taken at Pay: a sale for the same customer booked between the check and the payment is not seen. A customer group matches exactly.
- Not checked: a park to a till, a layaway deposit, an account collection or the Desk's own POS screen.
