Customers by store

At which stores each customer group may buy: account customers at their own store, trade customers at the trade counter. Anywhere else the till takes the customer off the sale, with your reason.

What it does

One rule per customer group: a customer picked at a till their rule does not name is taken off the sale, with your words.

What it does

  • A rule per customer group: the stores or POS Profiles where its customers may buy.
  • A group with no rule takes the nearest rule above it; a group's own rule replaces that one.
  • Anywhere else the cashier reads your reason, and no new sale for that customer can be paid there.
  • The walk-in customer is never asked. A rule with no place stops its group everywhere.

How to set it up

  • Make the app's user: Is Desk User, only the role IVENDNEXT CBS Integration (the install makes it), no User Permissions; generate its API key.
  • In Role Permissions Manager, give that role Read on Customer Group.
  • So cashiers cannot move a customer out of a locked group: in Customize Form for Customer, set Customer Group's Perm Level to 1; give level 1 Write only to managers (check Sales Master Manager's). New customers then take the default group.
  • In IVENDNEXT CBS Rule, add one rule per customer group that needs one.
  • On IVENDNEXT CBS Rules feed, choose that user as Application User; in the App library open Details, press Connect again.
  • In Retail Extension Subscription, open Customers by store: read what it sends, tick the consent, leave its POS Profiles empty (every till asks), switch it on.

Good to know

  • At each pick of a customer, the customer (id, name, phone, email, group), the store, POS Profile, cashier, language, sale's id and a code-check id go to customers-by-store.ivendnext.app (CitiXsys, US). It reads your rules and groups, writes nothing.
  • No answer in 3 s, offline, or no key yet: the customer stays on, flagged on Sales to review. Must it never? Set the down answer to Refuse after Connect again. A customer refused elsewhere staying on means the setup is wrong.
  • One app answers the customer-picked question on a POS Profile. Not asked: Desk's own sales, or a later payment on a layaway, an order or an account.
