Payment method rules

What it does

One rule per customer group, held at every Pay: the methods a customer may not use are dimmed, with your words.

What it does

• A rule per customer group: Only these payment methods, or Every payment method but these.
• A group with no rule takes the rule of the nearest group above it; a group's own rule replaces that one entirely.
• At Pay the cashier sees the methods left out dimmed with your reason; a sale left nothing to pay with is refused in words.
• Refunds are not judged. An exchange's new items are: an Only-these rule must list your store-credit method, or that group cannot exchange.

How to set it up

• Make the app's user: tick Is Desk User, give it only the role IVENDNEXT PMR Integration (the install makes it), no User Permissions; generate its API key.
• In Role Permissions Manager, give that role Read on Customer Group.
• Customize Form for Customer: Customer Group's Perm Level 1, level 1 Write for managers only, no cashier (check Sales Master Manager). New customers take the default group.
• In IVENDNEXT PMR Rule, add one rule per customer group that needs one, with its payment methods as your till names them.
• On the feed registration IVENDNEXT PMR Rules feed, choose that user as Application User. Then in the App library open Details and press Connect again.
• In Retail Extension Subscription, open Payment method rules (installed off): read what it is sent, tick the consent, choose its POS Profiles, switch it on.

Good to know

• At every Pay and before every refund the priced sale (with the cashier's user and the customer) goes to payment-method-rules.ivendnext.app (CitiXsys, US). It reads your rules and groups, writes nothing, keeps nothing of a sale.
• No answer in 3 s, offline, or a new key not yet sent by Connect again: the sale goes on with every method, flagged. Must never sell on account unchecked? Set the down answer to Refuse after Connect again.
• Leaving out your first card method stops card payments at the till. Two methods together in one sale are not judged.
• A POS Profile takes at most three checks, 10 s together. Not checked: a park, a layaway deposit, an account collection or the Desk's own POS screen.
