What it does
Write down where each item sits in your store, and let the cashier ask the till.
What it does
- Keeps your locations (back room or shop floor), their aisles, the bins in each aisle and a note of what sits in each bin, on the IVENDNEXT BLN Bins page in Desk.
- Gives each item a default bin and each bin a label layout.
- A till key, Where is it?, names the bin of each item on the sale: a shop-floor bin of the till's store first, else a back-room bin.
- It does not move or count stock. A bin's quantity is a note, and a sale does not change it.
How to set it up
- On the IVENDNEXT BLN Bins page, add Locations (each with the store it serves), aisles (search IVENDNEXT BLN Aisle), Bins, and under What is in each bin the bin, item and quantity.
- Make the app's user: tick Is Desk User, give it the role IVENDNEXT BLN Integration alone (the install makes it) and save. Then generate its API key (on the user, Settings, then Generate Keys).
- Open the feed registration IVENDNEXT BLN Bins feed, choose that user as its Application User and save. In the App library, open the app's Details and press Connect again: the record says it sent that user's API key.
- In POS Studio, open Apps, switch Where is it? on for the till's theme and save.
Good to know
- Each press sends the sale (items, quantities, store, till), the cashier's email and the customer's name to bins.ivendnext.app, hosted by CitiXsys. It reads your bins with that user and writes nothing.
- It names a bin only where What is in each bin has a quantity above 0 at a location of the till's store. It does not read the item's default bin.
- Before Connect again, or if your site cannot be read, the till says so in words.
- A bin label from Desk shows an error: print the bin with the standard print format.
