What it does
- Ask for reports, stock levels or a customer's history in plain words.
- The assistant works inside each person's own permissions.

How to set it up
- Get your own subscription to an AI assistant that can connect to outside data, such as Claude Desktop or ChatGPT. iVendNext does not sell one.
- In Desk, open AI Gateway Settings. On the General tab make sure Enable AI Gateway is on, then copy the Connection URL.
- Open each person's User record, give them the Assistant User role (Assistant Admin for administrators) and tick Enable Assistant Access.
- In the AI assistant, add a custom connector with the Connection URL and sign in with your usual iVendNext login when asked.
Good to know
- You bring your own AI provider: iVendNext does not sell AI.
- Your questions and the answers pass through your AI provider.
- Based on an open-source app; published and supported by iVendNext.
- Your partner adds it to your site.
