What it does
Price changes asked for by a store, approved by that store's manager or by head office.
What it does
- Staff raise a request for one store: the item, the price list, the new price and the reason.
- The store's manager approves it, or head office does. Head office sees every store's requests.
- Once it is approved, the Applier sets the new price and marks the request applied.
- An approval-rule table lists each approver's level and, for a store manager, a limit in percent.
- Every change to a request is recorded in its history.
How to set it up
- The install adds four roles with no one in them: IVENDNEXT APS Requester, Store Manager, Head Office and Applier.
- In Desk, open each person's User record, tick Is Desk User and give them one role. Give no one both a raising role and an approving role.
- A System Manager opens IVENDNEXT APS Approval Rule and adds one row for each approver: the person, the level (Store or Head Office) and, for a store manager, their store and a limit in percent.
- For each store manager, add a User Permission that allows their store (a POS Profile). They then see only that store's requests; head office needs none.
- In Role Permissions Manager, give IVENDNEXT APS Applier Write on Item Price. Removing the app removes that right, so give it back to a role of your own first.
Good to know
- The price list has no store: applying a request changes that price list for every store that uses it.
- The percentage limit is checked only by a service you connect. On its own, the approval flow does not check it.
- Approving does not change a price by itself: the Applier sets it.
- This app needs a key from iVendNext or your partner.
- Nothing leaves your shop.
