What it does
Price changes are asked for, approved by a manager and then applied, with every step recorded.
What it does
- Staff raise a request: the item, the price list, the new price and the reason.
- An approver approves or rejects it. Raising and approving are different roles, so a person who only raises requests cannot approve them.
- Once it is approved, the Applier sets the new price on the price list and marks the request applied.
- Every change to a request is recorded in its history.
How to set it up
- The install adds three roles with no one in them: IVENDNEXT APR Requester, IVENDNEXT APR Approver and IVENDNEXT APR Applier.
- In Desk, open each person's User record, tick Is Desk User and give them one role: Requester for staff who ask, Approver for managers, Applier for whoever sets prices. Give no one both Requester and Approver.
- In Desk, open Role Permissions Manager, choose Item Price and give IVENDNEXT APR Applier Write. If you want prices set only through this app, take Write on Item Price from the other roles.
- Staff then search Desk for IVENDNEXT APR Price Change Request and press Add.
Good to know
- Approving does not change a price by itself: the Applier sets it.
- Before applying a request, the Applier checks its history for a change made after it was approved.
- Removing the app also removes the Applier's Write on Item Price. If you took it from other roles, give it back first.
- Nothing leaves your shop.
